QC Canine Design was founded by Sara Eaton, a Charlotte native with a lifelong passion for dogs and an eye for detail. What began as a small, home-based grooming practice has grown into a trusted boutique grooming studio serving Charlotte’s small-breed community for nearly a decade.
In 2013, Sara officially launched her grooming career, refining her skills in professional training environments that emphasized not only grooming technique, but canine behavior, comfort, and safety. As her client base grew, so did her vision — to create a calm, elevated grooming experience where dogs are treated with patience, respect, and individualized care.
In 2017, Sara and her husband and business partner, Thomas, proudly opened the doors to QC Canine Design in the heart of Charlotte’s historic Fourth Ward. Together, they have built a reputation for consistency, professionalism, and high-quality grooming tailored specifically to small breeds.
Today, QC Canine Design is known for its boutique approach, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a low-stress environment. With over 20 years of combined hands-on grooming experience, our team is made up of seasoned, professional groomers.
We do not use inexperienced or entry-level groomers on your dog. Every groom is performed by someone with extensive training, confidence, and real-world experience handling dogs of all temperaments. We work by appointment only, limit the number of dogs in the salon at one time, and specialize in dogs 30 pounds and under, allowing us to provide a low-stress, attentive experience from start to finish. Our goal is not just a beautiful groom, but a safe, consistent, and positive experience you can trust.
