QC Canine Design is a boutique grooming studio specializing exclusively in dogs weighing 30 pounds and under. By submitting this form, you confirm that your dog meets our size requirements and is appropriate for a small-dog grooming environment.

Vaccinations & Health

Proof of a current Rabies vaccination is required for all pets. We strongly recommend vaccination against Parvovirus, Bordetella, Distemper, and Parainfluenza. While vaccinations help reduce risk, illness can still occur. You agree that QC Canine Design is not responsible for illness that may develop during or after grooming, as this is not due to any condition within the grooming salon.

QC Canine Design is not responsible for pre-existing medical conditions or the aggravation of such conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, obesity, heart disease, seizures, or any other medical issue that may be affected by the grooming process.

Allergic Reactions & Products

QC Canine Design is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the manufacturer-recommended use of grooming or flea and tick products. Pets may experience allergic reactions at any time, and flea and tick products carry an increased risk. Please consult your veterinarian prior to grooming if you have any concerns.

Safety, Handling & Behavior

For the safety of your pet, dogs may be humanely tethered during grooming services. If we believe the safety or well-being of your pet and/or a salon associate is at risk, a muzzle may be used, or services may be modified, discontinued, or refused at our discretion.

QC Canine Design reserves the right to refuse service to any pet whose behavior, condition, or health presents a safety concern.

Coat Condition & Humane Grooming

QC Canine Design practices humane grooming and does not perform extensive dematting that may cause discomfort or stress. Severely matted coats may require coat modification or a shorter style in the best interest of your dog’s comfort and safety. An Express Groom may be recommended for dogs who benefit from a shorter salon stay and may incur an additional charge.

By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that coat condition directly affects grooming outcomes and that QC Canine Design will always prioritize your dog’s comfort, safety, and well-being over cosmetic preferences.

Appointments, Deposits & Cancellations

QC Canine Design operates by appointment only. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure appointments and is applied toward the cost of the groom. Cancellations, reschedules, late arrivals, and no-shows are subject to current booking policies and may result in shortened services, rescheduling, forfeiture of deposits, or additional fees.

Emergency Care

In the event of an emergency, you authorize QC Canine Design to act as your agent and obtain veterinary care if deemed necessary. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you; however, if we are unable to reach you, veterinary treatment may be authorized at our discretion. All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the owner.

Photos & Media

QC Canine Design may photograph your pet while in our care. You grant QC Canine Design the perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use such photographs for marketing or promotional purposes without compensation or prior approval.

Pick-Up Policy

Pets must be picked up promptly after service completion. Any pet not picked up within 24 hours may be turned over to a local humane society or adoption agency, and any associated costs will be the responsibility of the owner.
